Overview

  • Location: Spain
  • Year: 2021
  • Initiator: Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV)

Objective

The main objective of the short film is to give visibility to leading women in the field of transport, specifically in different positions in rail transport, to publicize their work, and to attract female talent.

Measure

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) has produced the documentary short film "Las chicas no pierden el tren", directed by Paqui Méndez and starring a wide representation of female workers of the public company.

This production deals with the experience of different protagonists about the incorporation of women in a sector as masculinized as the railway sector, being FGV the working environment of the women involved.

It is a documentary that aims to give visibility to railway women, but also to awaken the interest of girls to access these companies, where they are underrepresented.
The protagonists are women of reference, aware and sure that equality improves coexistence in companies and society in general. They had to overcome the obstacles of a masculinized sector that resisted the presence and access of women.
