Strengthening the gender diversity of employees in transport professions.

Measure

In May 2019, Berlin’s public transport company (BVG) offered a try-out day to all those women who might be interested in a job as a bus driver but are unsure whether it really suits them. As a condition for the test drives, participants were only required to present a driving licence (class B – older than two years) and a valid identity card.
